Sister Theresa Young, RDC, entered the congregation on September 3, 1959 and took her final vows on March 30, 1967.
She was a 4th and 8th grade teacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel from 1962 until 1975. From 1975 until 1977 she served as CCD Coordinator at St. Lawrence O’Toole. In 1978 and 1979 she served in counseling at St. Frances de Chantal. At St. Patrick’s in Armonk, she was CCD Coordinator from 1979 until 1984.
Sister was a computer teacher at JFK High School from 1984 until 2001 and she continues there as a volunteer in computer and records filing. From 2001 until 2007, she had also been a caregiver for her mother until her passing.
Sister graduated from Good Counsel High School in 1956 and received her bachelor’s degree from Good Counsel College in White Plains, NY in 1961. Later she received her Masters degree in religious education from St. Mary’s College in Winona, MN.
