Sister Susan Greene

Sister Susan Greene, RDC, formerly known as Sister Mary Theophane, entered the congregation on September 3, 1959 and took her final vows on March 30, 1967. 

Sister taught elementary grades from 1962 until 1972 at St. Anthony’s in White Plains, St. Lawrence O’Toole in Brewster, and Sacred Heart in Hartsdale.  From 1976 to 1982 she taught art at Preston High School and then art and global studies at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers from 1982-1985.  She was a teacher at Preston High School from 1985 to 1991 and then became a teacher at Our Lady of Sorrows. 

Sister Susan went on to teach art at Good Counsel Academy Elementary School until 2005 and has since taught art privately at Good Counsel Convent in White Plains. She has won several art awards including 1988 and 1991 Best of Show at the Art Students League.  She is a member of the NYS Art Teachers Association and the National Art Educators Association.  Sister attended St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School in the Bronx and Good Counsel College in White Plains
