Compassion Heals a World of Violence...
Sister Lucille Coldrick, RDC, formerly known as Sister Mary Compassio, entered the congregation on September 3, 1959 and took her final vows on March 30, 1967.
She was principal of Good Counsel Academy High School from 1978 to 1985, having taught history there from 1962 until 1976. She also served as Director of Postulants from 1968 to 1970. Sr. Lucille was adjunct teacher of History and General Studies at Pace University from 1985 to 1989.
In 1988 she served in General Administration for the Sisters of the Divine Compassion and then became principal of Preston High School in the Bronx until 2008. Additionally, Sr. Lucille served the RDC community as Director of Formation in the 1970’s and 1980’s and as Director of Personnel in the 1980’s.
Sister graduated from Good Counsel Academy High School in 1954 and received her bachelor’s degree from Good Counsel College in White Plains, NY in 1958. Later she received her Masters degree in history from Fordham University in the Bronx.
