Compassion Heals a World of Violence...

Since 1886 the Sisters of the Divine Compassion, in collaboration with laywomen and men have listened to the cry of the poor and marginalized and have responded in accordance with the needs the times have called for: education, parish ministry, pastoral care, counseling and spiritual development, outreach to the migrant and the rural and urban poor; always and in all things with the awareness that “…not only are we recipients of the divine compassion, but that God will let us take this divine compassion into our hands and extend it to others.”
MISSION STATEMENT
The
of the Sisters of the Divine Compassion
is to proclaim and witness
by our lives and service
the Compassionate Presence of God
in our world.
Touched by God’s mercy,
we are called to be
life-giving women of prayer
who respond to the signs of the times by embracing
the sufferings of others
and bringing God’s healing love to them.

VISION STATEMENT
The Sisters of the Divine Compassion,
in partnership with women and men
committed to the gospel and our charism,
will create contemporary communities of compassion
where we live and minister.
Our commitment calls us to enable liberation
and empowerment of people,
especially women and children,
and those who are marginalized, oppressed
and paralyzed by lack of resources.
This is our vision that cries out
to become a reality.
This is our time, our only time,
and Compassion is our gift.
